Elbow Lake Fly-in Outpost Camp

Elbow Lake is on the Cat Tail River system, its name says it all as the lake is structured with many rocky areas in the shape of an arm with an elbow over 4 miles in length with an average depth of 25 feet, perfect for those reallllllly big walleye!

The cabin is the only one on the lake, 2 bedrooms sleeping 8, solar lighting, with hot and cold running water and shower and wired for a generator. All outposts are fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, utensils, stove-top coffee makers and wood burning stoves for heat.

A beautiful sight to see is the small waterfall that connects Muskrat and Elbow Lake, however if water levels are high it is necessary to avoid the area as the current can cause many hazards, even for experienced anglers. When perfect water conditions occur, fishing near the falls is a must for your chance at the legendary walleyes that are over 30".

Many guests like to say that Elbow is a hidden gem and would rather not share their hot fishing spots but will brag about the hundred of fish caught in their short time there along with the big walleye and northern pike. The largest pike to date at Elbow was 54".
