Fishing at KAG is truly an experience you won't soon forget because of the "fight" in the fish here, especially the walleye. Our guests all say the same thing: "We've caught many walleye in our lifetime, but none of 'em put up a fight like the beauties in KAG!".
Due to the depths and cooler water temperatures in Kag,  It's not uncommon to pick up walleye, northern pike, whitefish and lake trout from the same location. Speckled trout of course must be sought after by wading up the Opichuan River, but the work is worth the effort. Be sure to hire a guide for this venture though, to increase your success.
Running around this big 20,000 acre lake requires a bit of power, so we have equipped the Kag boats with 15 H.P. Mercury motors. Each boat also has two padded swivel boat seats for your comfort, plus landing nets and minnow buckets.
As an added bonus for all guests staying at 'KAG', one evening each week the lodge staff puts on a superb Shore Dinner at the large outdoor grill area in front of the lodge. You bring your own fillets to be delicately fried along with french fries, onion rings, salads, home made bread and dessert all prepared by our New Lodge Manager Derrick Cressman and the lodge staff.
